Great location and facilities, small room.
Great location, very close to Ueno station. The staff were very friendly. Excellent facilities, were multiple extra pillows to choose from in reception, free pj’s and vanity bag for females, our toddler was given a Winnie the Pooh pillow for himself which was lovely. Fresh towels and water every day and free breakfast.
The room was far too small, no room to move around the bed and no where to put luggage, very compact bathroom, would be too small for larger people than us.

Nice to stay
Budget hotel for travelers looking to save money. Free pajamas, free drinks and alcohol during designated hours, free breakfast, free ice and water. Hotels have many types of pillows. You can choose to have your room cleaned any day. Coin washing machine and dryer. Free detergent.
Room and bathroom is so tiny, i can't open 28" luggage on the floor, only half open. Maybe normal in tokyo.

What was the highlight of Super Hotel JR Ueno Iriyaguchi
Close to Ueno Station, but slightly out of budget
Very close to Ueno JR Station (make sure to use Iriya exit, dont use Panda Bridge exit as per advised in google map which slightly far). Free breakfast and drinks are bonus. New towels everyday. Coin laundry room at level 2 (please avoid this level) only needs to pay ¥100 for each washing machine and dryer, free detergent. This hotel area is at quieter side compared to Ameyoko area. Family Mart is nearby. Ueno is located in a strategic area, most main attractions are nearby. Bonus, private bathroom with mini bath up, free water at lobby, free wifi, mini fridge, hair dryer and kettle are provided, and lift is available. Hotel staffs were so kind and polite.
The price is quite expensive with this tiny space. But i guess this is normal in Tokyo and busy city centre. The room is literally small. Not enough space to open 2 medium luggage bags. But we manage to survive. Make full use of space at the upper bed. The below deck can sleep 2 pax comfortably. But the pillows are soooo hard. Anyways, we slept well, no big deal. We got used to the tiny space and no major complaints.
